Somewhat interesting survey I saw last week on Modern Mom asking what the hardest things about going back to work are for moms. Not surprisingly, separation anxiety ranked #1. Somewhat surprisingly were that “work related” issues seemed to rank really low on this survey. I know that when I went back to work, I of course was nervous about leaving my son with a nanny. But I was also tremendously worried that my brain wouldn’t function correctly, I wouldn’t remember how to write a proper email or I’d forget to attend a meeting. Maybe Modern Mom should do a benchmark survey- what is the hardest thing about going back to work once you’ve been back at it for 6 months. I bet the rankings would change.
