My thoughts about being a working mom who's trying to move up in the world, raise a child and stay fashionable - all at the same time. I'm just middle management at work, but I'm CEO of my home.

Hi All!

"I’m wondering what careers lend themselves best to WAH. Any WAHMs want to chime in?"

Personally, mine was website and database design. Not too exciting I know but after many years of doing it for other people I finally realized I had a lot of insight to share that most folks don't have. Hence, my own website for WAHM's.

I have never had help. Right now my two oldest are in school all day, but I have a 4 year old home still (she goes to preschool in the afternoon for a few hours). I used to work before they got up, when they napped and after they went to bed. Now they are all old enough that I can work while they are awake because they can all play on their own.

I work from home a bit as well, and it is so hard! However, it is also so great to be able to hang with my son, rather than being in the office 5 days a week. I have to say, I am more productive when I am actually in the office, so that I have less to do at home.

It *is* tough. Sometimes it makes me crazy, but you know how it is, life is tough LOL

You do what you have to do to survive. I like what I do and I love to hang out with my kids, so combining the two made the most sense. I work while they are in school and when they're home I hang out with them and they help me do domestic duties.

Thanks for visiting my site and thanks for the link back :)

I have been working from home for 10 years. My kids are now 10, 8, and 4.5. It has been a juggle and sometimes a struggle, but I am now at an income level that I could not easily attain working for someone else. I would not trade the opportunity to work from home for anything.
